Hundreds of people have given of their time and money to support this important work and we are extremely grateful to you all. We do not have space to name individuals but we would like to mention several organisations who have generously supported the academy. Some over many years. If you think we have overlooked someone.. let us know.

Torquay Girls' Grammar School

Torquay Girls’ Grammar School have supported Imprezza since its inception 21 years ago! They have raised and continue to raise many thousands of pounds for the benefit of many hundreds of poor and destitute children across Western Kenya. Watch Catherine Omanyo, Imprezza’s founder saying thank you to the school . In 2025 the school started a new house and have named it ‘Omanyo’ in recognition of the strong link between Imprezza Academy in Kenya and TGGS in Devon.

A huge thank you to Robbie Savage of Rev Comps.  He met with Catherine and Daron at Torquay United’s FlightClub club during their visit to the UK in January 2025.  Thanks to their donation of £14,000 we are able to immediately start work on the installation of the schools much needed security fence.

Newton Abbot Rotary have been long standing supporters of Imprezza. They gave Catherine a lovely welcome during her brief visit to the UK in January 2025.  Also a wonderful gift of £1000 for the Academy. Thank you very much.  Below pupils holding the Newton Abbot Rotary banner.

Souter Charity

A huge thank you to The Souter Charitable Trust for their wonderful donation of £3,000 in January 2025. This will be going towards the schools urgently needed security fence. Over the years Souter have donated £9,000 to the extremely valuable work that Imprezza Academy is doing.

Combe Pafford have come on board in last two years and have made major contributions to the development of our agriculture programme. They have also made 2 visits to the school and spent time painting classroom and dormitories and fixing windows. More here

Benefact Group. A charity that donates 1 million pounds a year to good causes. Following a successful nomination we were awarded £1000. Watch Bhumika Sinha, one of our trustees responding to the award

C B and H H Taylor 1984 Trust. Founded by Christopher and Hannah Taylor in 1964. In 2024. They kindly donated £1000 to the school which was used to install solar panels. These have boosted the electicity supply to the school.

From the staff: “We really appreciate the solar panels ..they have helped our work and students studying and water pumping to save students from fetching water manually.”

Donated Books

Many thanks to Bridge Books Exeter for their donation of £300 of books for the students of Imprezza Academy. The books were taken to the Academy by students of Combe Pafford School, Torquay in March 2025.

Our thanks also to the congregations of Teignmouth Baptist Church and  St James the Lesser Teignmouth for their support
