Operation Imprezza is always looking for like-minded volunteers to help raise funds for this amazing school and charity.

Chris, Charperson

Message from Chris, our Chair.

Thank you for your support through 2025.  We hope you will continue to support the work of Catherine and her team at Imprezza Academy in 2026.

The school is starting a new school year, It can be are a confusing time, as students pick and choose where they go to school. In Year 1, you can be teaching fifty students one day and only three the next. I have seen this for myself when I have been out there.

This year we have about 320 students.  This may increase as Catherine or others identify students in danger of early marriage, FGM etc.

It is the dry season and many areas are experiencing drought with livestock and wildlife dying.  We are fortunate to have a bore hole so we are not affected by water shortage, but the weather is driving up inflation and food prices.

I am delighted to welcome Emma Ross McNairn who joined our team last week.

We look forward to seeing you at our planned events where all the money raised, after minimum expenses, goes to Imprezza. Nick at Trade Winds, and Marco at Marco’s Italian are generous supporters and do a special rate for us.

A  group of staff and students from Combe Pafford School, Torquay will be visiting Imprezza Academy in March. (Read more about their visit here).

Please tell your friends about Imprezza. Thanks for your ongoing support, without you there wouldn’t be an Imprezza!!

Best Wishes
Chris. February 2026

Our key funding need today

Daily Running Costs

There is a constant demand for funds. It costs about £25 a month to cover the basic needs of one student. Extras such as medical costs can easily ramp up. The bill for hospital attendance is never less than £100 and all the students medical needs are paid for by the school. Many students have to stay at the academy over the holidays so that they can be assured of safety, food and medical care.

Any gift whether regular, one off, large or small will be greatly appreciated and could be life changing for the students
